Many corporations list “APICS certification preferred” in their job postings.  Also, recent salary surveys showed that APICS-certified professionals earn significantly more than their peers.

The APICS Certified in Transformation for Supply Chain (CTSC) equips supply chain professionals responsible for driving transformation with a collected group of best practices, knowledge and skills to initiate and enact supply chain transformation.

APICS CTSC credential holders gain the skills to effectively manage global supply chain transformation activities that involve their extended enterprise, including the web of suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers and transportation carriers.  CTSC serves the needs of both professionals and employers by keeping you and your organization competitive in today’s ever-changing environment.

CTSC is comprised of 4 modules that are covered in one course, and the certification can be obtained by passing one exam.   No experience or college degree is needed to become CTSC certified.

Module 1:  Supply Chains Transformation Overview

    • Supply Chain Transformations
    • Value Proposition, Methodologies and Organizational Design
    • Drivers of Supply Chain Transformation

Module 2:  Preparing for Supply Chain Transformation

    • Select Supply Chain Transformation Drivers
    • Assess Supply Chain Current State
    • Conceptualize the Future-State Supply Chain Operating Model
    • Identify Initiatives to Address Gaps
    • Initiate Transformation Work Streams and Projects
    • Develop and Iterate Preliminary Transformation Business Cases
    • Perform Post-Approval Tasks

Module 3:  Executing Supply Chain Transformation

    • Adopt a Change Management Plan
    • Design and Implement Supply Chain Transformation Work Streams
    • Implement Governance and a Risk Management Framework

Module 4:  Review of Supply Chain Transformation

    • Assess the Transformation
    • Communicate Results and Reflect on the Transformation

Class Dates, Pricing and Location:

Our CTSC courses cover 24 hours of content.  Besides the standard course materials from APICS, we also cover additional content that can be on the CTSC exam.   Our students have an extremely high pass rate on APICS exams.   Classes are taught by an APICS master instructor with decades of practical experience, and who spends extra time (in addition to class time) helping his students learn the material.

These interactive online classes with live instruction are offered on weekday evenings as well as during the day on weekdays and weekends.  Class schedules adjusted with student input in order to minimize scheduling conflicts.  Review sessions are held at the end of the course, which are particularly helpful for students that missed any of the classes.

Registration for upcoming classes has started.  Mentoring is available from our APICS Master Instructor once you register.

  • Credit cards accepted, but will incur a 3% processing fee (but no sales tax).
    • Payment by check recommended (avoids the credit card processing fee and sales tax)
    • To pay by credit card:
      • Email filled-out registration form to education@ascmAkron.org
      • Include note with email requesting to pay by credit card, and amount to be charged.
      • Wait for reply to email (usually within 24 hours), then click link to pay PayPal invoice by credit card.
      • You do not need a PayPal account, as the invoice can be paid with any credit or debit card.
      • After the PayPal invoice is paid, a receipt will be automatically sent.
